In an effort to comply with the CDC Phase 1 of the Reopening of the State, we are going to begin a modified team practice and class schedule beginning Monday, May 4, 2020 with a limited group size. You will receive an email with your child’s schedule. We are going to have a Star Wars theme for our first day back 🙂
We will also have limited childcare should you be in a position that requires you to work outside of your home. Based on our building size, we can have up to 10 groups of 10 at any given time. With our current schedule, we will be well under that with a maximum of 5 groups of 5.
Please know that we understand that you may or may not be comfortable with sending your child and we will continue with the online zoom classes and lessons through Google Classroom and the Facebook Parent group. In addition, we are implementing the following procedures:
- The parent viewing room will remain closed
- Students will be dropped off at the entrance to the far left of the building which will be clearly marked “Entrance”.
- Each child will have their temperature checked at the entrance. If you prefer, you can check your child’s temperature at home and let us know. Once verified, the parent may leave. The front parking lot is absolutely only to be used for dropping off. Should you wish to stay, you can park in the back parking lot.
- The children will follow a one-way circuit through the equipment during their practice times.
- Equipment will be sanitized in between rotations and there will be hand sanitizer at each station.
- There will be no spotting and no physical contact between coaches and athletes as well as athlete to athlete.
- Spots on the floor will be set up to ensure social distancing per guidelines
- When practice is over, the children will be dismissed out the BACK door to the rear parking lot. We will set up a car rider line similar to how schools set up their car rider.
These guidelines will be STRICTLY enforced. If anyone in your family is ill, you must keep your child home.
In addition to these guidelines, we have treated the entire gym with a new, state-of-the-art, FDA approved anti-microbial cleaner that kills all germs, viruses and bacteria on contact.
